Paul Stahura is a lifelong technology entrepreneur and innovator. Paul co-founded Donuts in 2010, was its president and CEO through 2016, and currently serves as Executive Chair of the board. Prior to Donuts, Paul founded and grew eNom from a garage startup in 1997 to become the second largest domain name registrar in the world. He sold eNom to Demand Media in 2006, becoming the combined company’s president and COO, then its chief strategy officer, and was a member of the Demand Media's board through 2009. eNom is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tucows. For the past two decades, Paul has been prominent in both the domain industry and the ICANN community. Paul holds seven U.S. patents and has twice testified before Congress on issues related to domain names and Internet policy. In 2012, he was named "one of the most influential people in the Americas" by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Paul was a 2016 finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, northwest region. Paul was the first angel investor in iSpot.tv and serves on its board; he is an investor in a number of other startups. Paul holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Bruce Jaffe joined Donuts as a board member, and then became CEO in early 2017. Before Donuts, Bruce founded Three Point Group, focusing on investing in and advising early stage and growth technology companies. From 1995 to 2008, Bruce held various positions at Microsoft, most recently as corporate vice president, Corporate Development, where he managed M&A and strategic investments. Previously, Bruce was corporate vice president and CFO of Microsoft’s Online division and corporate vice president, Business Development, where he managed Microsoft’s media, telecom, and other partnerships. Bruce began his career at Coopers & Lybrand and also served as the COO of de’Medici Systems, an early-stage technology company. Bruce holds a B.S. from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

David Rostov

David Rostov has more than 25 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles for both public and private high-growth technology companies. Before joining Donuts, he was the CFO of Avalara, a leading cloud-based software platform that automates sales and other transactional taxes. Prior to Avalara, David was CEO of Lighthouse eDiscovery, a leading electronic discovery services company. David has held CFO roles at a number of leading technology companies including Infospace, drugstore.com and Nextel International. David holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. and M.A. in Public Policy from The University of Chicago.

A seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur, Dan Schindler has founded and developed creative, varied businesses his entire career, from coal-mining to convenience shopping, and from the automobile industry to professional sports management. For most of the last decade, Dan was CEO of CentralNic, a domain industry leader that recruited nearly every accredited registrar as resellers of second-level names; Dan grew the company many times over to multi-million-dollar profits. Prior to CentralNic, Dan founded Gecko Internet, a web-design and hosting company. He is also the past sales director of Visi Systems Ltd, producers of business and medical software. Dan is a graduate of Surrey College of Technology.

Jon is a domain name industry veteran. He is a founding board member of the industry’s trade association, the Domain Name Association. Previously, he was senior vice president at Network Solutions and chair of the boards of NameJet and Central Registry Solutions. Jon has been deeply involved in ICANN task forces, working groups, and panels. He currently serves on the Registries Stakeholder Group's Executive Committee. He was a member of ICANN's IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group (ICG), which steered the move of this function to the global multi-stakeholder community. Jon helped form and served as the first chair of the New gTLD Applicant Group (NTAG) and was elected to three terms as chair of the ICANN Registrar Constituency. Jon has leveraged his expertise in protecting trademarks as a member of the Implementation Recommendation Team (IRT), the Special Trademark Issue team (STI), and the International Trademark Association's Internet Committee. In 2009, Jon was appointed to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Online Safety and Technology Working Group related to issues of child safety and the Internet. Jon received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

John Pollard leads Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Communications and Business Development for Donuts’ registry business. Prior to Donuts, John was CEO in Residence at Madrona Venture Labs, after having run Amazon’s Customer Reviews and Answers team. Before Amazon, he was co-founder and CEO at Elemental, which was acquired by Porch.com. John was also co-founder and CEO of Jott, which was acquired by Nuance Communications, and served as VP and General Manager of Nuance’s Voice to Text Services division, which during his tenure grew to over 80 million unique users worldwide. Before Jott/Nuance, John was Senior Director at Microsoft in mobile, an early manager at Expedia -- where he led its global expansion and started its Corporate Travel Business Unit -- and ran Microsoft Sidewalk’s international business. Before Microsoft, John was a consultant with Cambridge Technology Group, and a program manager at Harvard’s Institute for International Development. John holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Timothy Favia has over 25 years of experience in building venture-backed technology companies from inception through initial public offering. A former partner at Fair Chase Advisors, Favia is also the former CEO of mSnap, Inc., where he built the country’s largest broadcast-based mobile ad network, and Mediaplex, where as co-founder and EVP for business and corporate development, he helped guide the company to a market capitalization in excess of $4 billion. Tim has been involved in the funding, development and operation of numerous other venture-backed technology companies. Tim currently sits on the boards of several early-stage companies, including Donuts-backed start-ups GeoNet and Netki. Tim holds a B.A. from Fairfield University.

Alvaro Alvarez has over a decade of legal experience and previously served as a senior International Business associate at the law firm of Perkins Coie LLP, where he represented early stage, private, and public companies, including domain industry companies. While at Perkins Coie, Alvaro helped incorporate Donuts and served as its outside counsel. Alvaro received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was Executive Technology Editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. Alvaro has also studied law at the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and the University of Havana, Cuba and pursued coursework at the University of London (King’s College) and the London School of Economics. Alvaro is admitted to the State bars of Washington and California (inactive).

Chris Cowherd has an extensive track record of success in developing, managing, and maintaining critical registrar and registry systems. Chris began his career in the domain industry with eNom. As eNom’s Chief Architect, Chris was charged with building and supervising teams responsible for protocol, network and security development. Chris subsequently served as Demand Media’s Vice President of Research. With the advent of the new gTLD program, Chris moved his team to registry backend development in order to create the Donuts platform. Chris’ prior experience includes software development at Microsoft, where he worked on the company’s most popular products including Excel, Internet Explorer and Windows 2000. Chris holds four United States technology patents.

Matt manages the Name.com registrar business unit. Before Rightside was acquired by Donuts, Matt was Rightside's SVP Operations, and was a member of the domain services team that spun out of Demand Media. He previously served as VP, Operations and Director, Corporate Finance for Demand Media, and was a key member on several capital-raising and corporate development projects, including the company's IPO in 2011. Matt holds a B.S. in Business Administration from USC's Marshall School of Business.

Serina Ness has over 20 years of extensive public and private accounting experience in diverse industries including ecommerce, multi-channel retail, and technology. Serina was formerly the Controller for drugstore.com and the Divisional Controller of Walgreens digital commerce business and served as a Senior Manager at the accounting firm of Grant Thornton LLP. Serina holds an undergraduate degree from Seattle University's Albers School of Business and Economics and earned her CPA while working at Grant Thornton.

Matt leads sales efforts at Donuts. Before Donuts acquired Rightside, Matt led Rightside’s monetization and premium domain sales business. Matt previously served as General Manager of NameJet, establishing it as the premier auction marketplace in the domain name industry. He has also managed specialized sales efforts for five of the web’s top 10 registrars. Prior to joining Rightside, Matt held positions at Hotkeys and McCann Erickson in Seattle. Matt holds a B.A. from DePauw University.
